Purpose-wise
Depending on your application, please select a loadcell considering the responsiveness and the risk of failure due to overload.
Weight measurement
Depending on the size of the object to be weighed, there are 2 types of weighing. One measured with one loadcell, and the one measured with 3 or 4 loadcells + junction box.
Capacity-wise
Usage guide
1 Loadcell selection | 2 Loadcell mounting |
---|---|
Choose a loadcell that matches the weight of object. The best loadcell for your measurement depends on tare weight, purpose, required accuracy and usage environment. It is recommended to choose a loadcell which has larger capacity than the actual load considering to overload. | Make sure the loadcell mounting surface has sufficient strength. It is desirable to protect the loadcell so that load applies to a loadcell properly. Also fix the cable so that is not pulled. Also, when using a loadcell in an environment with dust or water droplets, make sure to check the dustproof and waterproof performance of the load cell itself, and protect a loadcell if necessary. |
3 Wiring | 4 Calibration |
---|---|
There are 4-wire loadcell and 6-wire loadcell.Connect a loadcell wires to an indicator after checking the signal name carefully. When extending the cable, keep it away from noise sources and avoid unnecessary extension. | Output of loadcell has individual differences within specifications.Calibration is required to match an indicator and a loadcell. There are two types of calibration. One called “Actual load calibration”, using a standard weight. Another called “Equivalent input calibration”, using a data sheet that comes with a loadcell.Data sheets may not be included depending on model. If data sheets were included, keep it in a safe place. |
